SQL Server 2005 Administration for Oracle DBAs

Description 
This class is designed to teach experienced Oracle database administrators how to manage an enterprise SQL Server 2005 database environment. This class is taught in an accelerated environment for experienced DBAs. Attendees will learn how to install and manage a SQL Server database. Performance tuning, optimization, best practices and fundamentals of backup and recovery will be covered. Configuration and management of tables, views, index, triggers, and stored procedures are covered. Topics will include working with Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, backup and recovery, importing and exporting data and automating tasks. An emphasis is placed on best practices. Throught the class SQL Server and Oracle environments will be compared. Relating SQL Server and Oracle concepts and terminology will help DBAs make the transition to managing heterogenous database environments containing SQL Server and Oracle databases.
