Oracle9i Migration Workshop

This hands-on workshop will give Oracle7.x and Oracle8.x DBAs a pragmatic understanding of the methods, options and issues when migrating to Oracle9i. An emphasis will be on migration strategies, tools and processes to help ensure a successful migration. Content will include migration methods, key Oracle9i new features, deprecated, desupported features and key 10G features. After migrating a DBA needs to understand key features in Oracle9i they should consider using to maximize the Return on Investment for migrating to Oracle9i. Attendees will also understand future Oracle directions in 10G will influence how Oracle9i databases are managed. In-depth hands on labs will walk the attendees through the different methods of migrating to Oracle9i. Best practices, guidelines, recommendations and gotchas will be covered for migration. Oracle and 3rd party migration tools will be included.
